The website was created with the assistance of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

PUBLIC UNİON FOR THE SUPPORT OF INNOVATIVE MEDİA INITIATIVES (PU SİMİ / MİTD İB)
The Public Union for the Support of Innovative Initiatives in the Media ( MITDIB) was founded in 2014 by professional journalists of Azerbaijan and was officially registered with the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan in the same year. MITDIB maintains close relationships with journalistic organizations around the world as well as in Azerbaijan.
The main purpose and activities of the organization:
MITDİB's main task is to support initiatives to promote freedom of speech and expression and the media. The organization organizes trainings, seminars to improve the professionalism of journalists, actively participates in campaigns supporting freedom of expression, tries to study and implement the most innovative global trends in Azerbaijan.
To obtain these purposes, MITDIB works with both government and non-government organizations. The organization has made an important contribution to the development of freedom of speech in Azerbaijan by performing about 30 projects with the financial support of the Azerbaijan NGO Agency (former NGO Council) and the State Support Fund for Media Development.
International activity:
MITDİB is a joint organization with the Azerbaijan Journalists' Trade Union (JuHI). Two influential international organizations are represented through JuHI. These are the Brussels-based International Federation of Journalists (www.IFJ.org) and the European Federation of Journalists.
In-country activities
MITD İB is working on strengthening the internal structures of the launcher. The organization is a member of the Press Council of Azerbaijan. The head of MITDİB -Mushfig Alasgarli- is currently represented on the Board of the Press Council of Azerbaijan. It works in close collaboration with the Media Agency and the NGO Agency.
